Trejo, Tovar top the Young Rockies over Padres 4-3 at 10

DENVER (AP) Rookie singles Alan Trejo in the winning round in the 10th inning, hugely popular Ezequiel Tovar hit hits at the first two stadiums he saw in the major leagues, and the young Colorado Rockies stopped the San Diego Padres game. He advanced with a 4-3 victory on Friday night.

Randall Grechuk and Yonathan Daza added a two-round triple for Rocky’s final position, which started six starters, including a new pitch.

“We are energetic and energetic and we just want to come here and produce,” Trejo said.

Colorado improved to 7-1 against Padres at Corse Field and won 14 of the past 15 games in Denver over the past two seasons.
